1. Zero-Collection Principle

At PDFree, privacy is not just a feature—it is our fundamental architecture. We operate on a strict Zero-Collection Principle:

• No File Uploads: We never transmit, upload, copy, or store your documents or file data on external cloud servers. All parsing, merging, splitting, compressing, or formatting is performed inside your local browser memory stack.
• No Personal Data Collection: We do not ask for names, email addresses, phone numbers, or credit card info. No registration is required to use any of our features.
• No Cookies or User Tracking: PDFree does not use tracker codes, persistent cookies, or profiling systems to capture or target your online behaviors.

2. In-Browser Local Processing

All calculations are executed inside your web browser sandbox. By using client-side JavaScript APIs and WebAssembly binaries, our page assets are loaded staticly from our content delivery network, but processing happens 100% locally. Once you close the PDFree tab, all cached session document bytes are cleared from your device's memory.
